Cancel or pause your subscription

Slow season, switching jobs, or just need a break? You can pause or cancel any time. Here is how.

Cancel

Go to your account page, then click Billing. Hit the Cancel Subscription button. You will get a confirmation screen. Confirm and you are done.

After you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. So if you paid for the month on the 1st and cancel on the 10th, you have access until the end of the month. No prorated refund, but no surprise charges either.

Pause

Pausing is different from canceling. When you pause, your plan freezes. You stop paying. Your account stays open but the features turn off. When you come back, you click Resume and pick up right where you left off.

To pause, go to Account, then Billing, then Pause Subscription. Pick how long: 1 month, 3 months, or until further notice. Your subscription resumes automatically when the pause ends, unless you say otherwise.

What stays when you cancel

Your account does not get deleted. Your saved phrases, your team setup, your translation history — all of that stays in our system for 90 days after cancellation. If you come back within 90 days, everything is right where you left it.

After 90 days, we delete your saved content unless you ask us to keep it longer.

Get a refund

If you canceled by mistake or had a billing issue, email us at billing@speakyboo.com within 7 days of the charge and we will sort it out. We are not in the business of holding your money hostage.

Switch plans instead

If you are canceling because the plan is too expensive, try downgrading first. The Solo plan is cheaper and still covers most of what one contractor needs. You can downgrade from the same Billing page.
