Your first translation in 60 seconds

You just signed up. Here is the fastest way to get your first translation done.

Open the app

Go to the app screen after you log in. You will see a big mic button in the middle. That is the only button you need to know to get started.

Pick the language

Above the mic there are two language slots. The left one is what you speak. The right one is what the customer hears or reads. Tap either slot to change it. English to Spanish is the default because that is what most people start with.

Hit the mic and talk

Press and hold the mic, then talk normal. No need to slow down or sound like a robot. Speak the way you would talk to anyone on a job site. When you let go, Speakyboo turns your words into the other language right on the screen.

Show the customer

Turn the phone toward your customer so they can read the translation. Or hit the speaker icon and play it out loud. Most folks prefer to read it because job sites are loud.

Have them reply

When the customer talks back, hit the mic again. Speakyboo will pick up that they are speaking the other language and translate it back to English for you. You do not have to switch anything.

You are done

That is the whole loop. Speak, show, listen, repeat. Most jobs take five or six back-and-forths to scope out a kitchen, a roof, or a paint job. Speakyboo keeps up.
